Grief Support

Going through the loss of a loved one is never easy.  The crushing waves of grief do lessen with time, but even down the road you might find you need help, and you almost certainly will at the start of the journey.  Ultimately, true healing can only be found in Christ, by leaning on and depending on Him.  He is the one who comforts all who mourn.  He is the one of whom it is said, “Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.”  But He has also told us to be there for one another and to “weep with those who weep.”

We have many people in our congregation who know what it’s like to lose a loved one.  Whether a child, a parent, a spouse, or a friend.  Talking to somebody who has already been down that road, allowing them to share your burden, might be just what you need to help you through this leg of the journey.  Call our pastor at (620) 286-5362 and he can put you in touch with somebody who knows exactly where your at, because they’ve been there.  Or, you can talk to our pastor himself.  He’d love to direct you to the healing arms of Christ.  Remember, God knows what it’s like to grieve.  He gave His Son.
