Tornado Donation Information

The town of Plevna was devastated by a tornado on Sunday Evening on May 18th.  Praise God that nobody in town was injured!  Here is some tornado related information:

- Church Mutual dropped insurance on churches in the area at the beginning of the year and nobody else was willing to pick them up so all repair costs are out of pocket.  If you would like to donate to help the church replace the parsonage you can send a check to the church at 110 West 3rd Ave Plevna, KS 67568 or send it through our Venmo at https://venmo.com/u/Plevna-Parsonage

Currently the church has raised $162,000 of the estimated $150,000 they’ll need to complete the project!  Praise God for His amazing grace!  The rebuilding project is continuing and Lord willing will be completed by Christmas time 2025.

The members of Plevna Community Bible Church want to express the following:

“We are so thankful for God’s grace in sparing the lives of everyone in our community during the tornado.

We gratefully acknowledge with thanks your generous gifts of financial aid, donations of labor, equipment,

food and water during the clean up as well as aid to rebuild the church parsonage.  We also are thankful for

the many prayers on our behalf.

Philippians 4:17-18:

“Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.  Indeed I have all and abound.  I am

full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable

sacrifice, well pleasing to God.”

- Many of the people in the community did not have insurance either and the needs are great.  The city counsel has requested that all community donations go through United Way / VOAD at:  https://form-renderer-app.donorperfect.io/give/uwrcplevnatornado   All donations given to other entities for the community will be turned over to them for disbursement.
